Mid-year ball returns

Cocktail dresses, sharp suits and plenty of sparkle filled the Railway Hotel in Pakenham on Saturday 28 June, as the Gembrook Cockatoo Football Netball Club hosted its annual Mid-Year Ball.

Players, partners and supporters gathered for the much-anticipated evening, trading muddy boots and game-day pressure for an occasion of style, dancing and celebration.

Guests embraced the cocktail dress code with style, arriving early to capture photos before the dancefloor quickly descended into what one attendee described as “a little glam, a little chaos, and a whole lot of fun.”

“It’s that time again — dress sharp, dance harder, and pretend you didn’t spend three hours getting ready.”

The night featured music, drinks and the chance to unwind midway through the sporting season.

The mid-year ball is a highlight on the Gembrook Cockatoo calendar, bringing players and supporters together off the field to strengthen club spirit.
