Tree falls on car, passengers uninjured

Two people are fortunate to walk away from a collision with a tree that fell right in front of them.

Bayles and Nar Nar Goon Fire Brigades with VICSES Pakenham responded to the sudden collision on Bunyip River Road in Cora Lynn on the evening of Tuesday 24 June.

Bayles Fire Brigade reported that on the windy night, the large tree fell across the road with the incoming car unable to avoid it.

Despite significant damage to the front of the vehicle, the driver and the passenger were able to exit the car with no injuries.

Pakenham SES worked to clear the debris so that the road could be opened.

Bayles Fire Brigade thanked both the Nar Nar Goon brigade and Pakenham SES for their assistance.
