Rodeo returns

The Lang Lang Rodeo was a sold-out event this Easter Monday, with people near and far packing the showgrounds for the Hall of Fame show.

One of the oldest ongoing rodeos in the country, it makes Easter weekend an even more anticipated holiday for Lang Lang and surrounds.

It was all cowboy hats and chaps among the titular program of barrel racing, rope and tie, bull riding and much more.

The rodeo this year welcomes newer attractions such as the Dachshund Dash, where local sausage dog lovers see which little legs run the fastest.

The Lang Lang Rodeo has been running since 1944. It is the first event to be inducted into the Australian Professional Rodeo Association’s “Hall of Fame”.
