Proudly supported by the City of Casey and Agriculture Victoria, a celebration of agriculture, entertainment, and community spirit is now in its 176th year.

The Berwick Show is set to take place this weekend, running from 9am to 9pm on Saturday, February 22, and 9am to 4pm on Sunday, February 23.

President of Berwick Show Sharon Geoffrey said they’re unique because they blend traditional agricultural excellence and modern family fun.

“We’re catering for those who want rides and entertainment and the people who still want the traditional animal exhibits.”

The event will feature top-quality horticultural and agricultural competitions, a variety of rides, fireworks, food stalls, and engaging family activities. Berwick has continued to embrace horticulture, a rarity in today’s exhibitions.

“Even the Royal Melbourne Show doesn’t have horticulture anymore, but we’ve maintained that tradition,” the President said.

A key focus for 2025 is ensuring strong community engagement and inclusivity. The show is designed to appeal to people of all ages and backgrounds, offering something for everyone.

“It’s about bringing people together and making sure there’s something that sparks interest in everyone who walks through the gates.”

“I would be very surprised if there wasn’t something here that people weren’t interested in or didn’t find interesting.”

Unlike Melbourne shows, Berwick values affordability, ensuring the show remains accessible for all.

“We would like people to participate and have fun. This is a great place they can bring the family.

“We’ve tried hard to make it affordable because of the cost of living. We encourage people who may not be as financially able to bring their own picnic and spend the whole day here if you want to.”

The event attracts visitors from Gippsland, Mornington, Melbourne, and even interstate, making it a truly Victorian-wide showcase. Many families have been attending for generations.

“It’s been very generational. People say, ‘My mum brought me when I was little, and now I’m bringing mine,’” the President shared.

“People come here, but there are lots of young families who’ve moved into the area who are now making their own connections, coming with their children or neighbours and things like that.”

The Berwick Show 2025 promises a celebration of community, heritage, and pure enjoyment.

“It makes people happy—it’s good for their mental health,” Sharon said.

“We’re very conscious that people in their outside lives have got some things going on. But when they come here, we hope that they’ll enjoy the day.”

“I’m looking forward to just the joy of seeing everyone enjoying the day. Not just the community, but the committee, the work that they’ve put in for 12 months of planning to see it come to fruition.”
