Locals flocked in their hundreds to view the wonder of Vaughan Court’s Christmas lights last week.
It was a night filled with magic and wonder, not to mention the ideal weather, with even a horse and cart giving attendees a ride.
The lights were well worth the wait for parking with all ages dazzled by the spectacles.
Earlier this year, Cardinia Shire fortunately affirmed they would stay at ‘arm’s length’ to interfere with the displays after a former councillor had raised a notice of motion during a council meeting regarding ‘safety management’ of the lights.
The Gazette reported at the time that similar matters had developed into controversies in other councils, such as the City of Casey where Hugo Court’s lights in Narre Warren were labelled as an ‘event’ under council and ended by burdening residents with the high cost of insurance and risk management.
Hopefully, Vaughan Court will remain for years to come.
