Spooky spirits come to life at Lakeside

Ghouls, ghosts and all things spooky took over Lakeside on Sunday 27 October, as part of the Lakeside Residents Group’s annual Halloween event.

Led by group president David Farrelly, the event saw locals and group members show up in fancy dress ready to give a friendly scare to passers by at Lakeside’s Dragon Park.

“It’s absolutely fabulous to see our residents, young and old, get dressed up, have their faces painted and enjoy Halloween together as a community,“ he said.

“It’s a real highlight for our volunteers.

“Our event attracts new families every year, and more neighbours are going on to participate in the sugar focused 31st October trick or treat.“

The kids enjoyed a barbecue and jack-o-lantern themed cupcakes, a spooky tent, craft activities, fancy dress competition and face painting.

Lakeside Residents Group’s next community event is a kids Christmas event where members get an exclusive meeting with Santa and Craig Holowell Photography for a free Christmas family photo.
