Driver flees from car fire after crash

Bayles CFA receivd a call out to a car accident and fire along Tynong-Bayles Road on Saturday 12 October at about 9.45pm.

With the car on fire and flames spreading to nearby trees, the Bayles brigade members worked to quickly contain the fire.

The driver had lost control crossing onto the wrong side of the road before correcting and ending up into the trees, with speed believed to be a major factor causing the crash and witnesses alleging the male driver fled the scene.

Pakenham Police were in attendance and the Police Air Wing was also called in to look for the driver.
