Male flees from Monash Freeway collision

Police have begun searching for the driver of a car involved in a two-car collision on Monash Freeway on Monday 30 September.

Police have alleged a dark green Jeep collided with a grey Mercedes outbound on the Monash Freeway near Toorak Road on 30 September at about 8.20am.

The driver of the Mercedes, a 24-year-old Keilor East woman, was treated at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Jeep fled the scene on foot.

Police have described the male driver of the Jeep as being Caucasian in appearance, wearing a white T-shirt, light grey pants and carrying a small backpack.

Police have continue to search for the male who is believed to have sustained a significant injury to his arm.

Police alleged the Jeep was stolen from a Berwick address in September.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
