Community grants available

Cardinia Council are encouraging community groups to apply for Category 2 (Partnership Grants) as part of the 2025-26 Community Capital Works Grants Program.

The Community Capital Works Grants Program assists a wide range of community groups in improving community facilities, strengthening local networks and supporting community well-being.

In Category 2 (Partnership Grants), grants of up to $35,000 are available for capital works on council-owned or Crown land in Cardinia Shire, with contributions from applicants.

Past grant recipients include the Kooweerup Cricket Club, which secured grant funding for an LED electronic scoreboard, and the Gembrook Pre School Association, which used grant funding to upgrade the children’s bathroom.

Expression of interest applications will close at 5pm on Tuesday 3 December.

Formal applications for the 2025-26 Community Capital Works Grants program (including supported Category 2 Partnership Grants applications) will be open from January to March 2025.
