Drouin-based infant and maternity aid charity Olivia’s Place is preparing to host its 10th annual gala dinner and charity auction later this month.
The event is scheduled on Saturday 31 August at the Lardner Park Exhibition and Conference Centre, serving as the organisation’s primary fundraiser, vital for sustaining their Family Support and Material Aid programs for parents and babies in their first year.
The gala dinner and charity auction gathers 300 attendees annually, uniting community members in championing Olivia’s Place’s mission of ensuring every baby receives the best start in life.
Operations manager Pheba Daniel said the gala dinner is more than just a fundraising event.
“It’s a celebration of our community’s generosity and commitment to supporting families in need,” she said.
“The funds raised directly enable us to continue providing essential services to over 200 families each year, and with your support, we aim to extend our reach even further.”
The event will include a charity auction, entertainment, gourmet dining and testaments from volunteers and staff who have been part of the mission to support local families.
Ms Daniel said the Olivia’s Place team appreciates any and all support which the community can provide.
“We deeply appreciate the ongoing support of our community, whose generosity allows us to be the village to support our local families,” she said.
“Together, we can make a profound impact and ensure they receive the support and resources they need during their most vulnerable times.”
