Building bridges at Pakenham Library

Pakenham Library’s after-school STEAM Club hosted some special guests as the Pakenham Roads Upgrade team came along to help the budding engineers to ‘Build-a-Bridge’!

Joining the engineers, scientists and artists at the Pakenham Library’s after-school STEAM Club, the Pakenham Roads Upgrade team showed the next generation what it takes to build a bridge.

STEAM Club (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) used household materials and a bit of insight from the Major Road Projects Victoria team to create their own.

Taking inspiration from the project’s new Princes Freeway bridge, Pakenham’s newest apprentices brought out their hidden talent for construction.
