Officer’s Heritage College officially opened the extension to their early learning centre last week which will provide the opportunity for more local kids to get their vital pre-school education.
The official opening was on Wednesday 8 May where kids and teachers gathered to cut the ribbon joined by Minister for Children Lizzie Blandthorn and Pakenham MP Emma Vulin.
The extension adds a second room allowing the school to accommodate for the State Government Best Start Best Life reforms to institute free kinder across Victoria.
The centre will now house more room for three-year-old and four-year-old kinder programs for young families in the burgeoning Officer township.
Minister Blandthorn and Vulin enjoyed a brief story time before officially speaking for the opening. Principal Sonny Aiono, Chairman of the Heritage College Board Paul Bower as well as school captains Eliana and Harrison spoke.
The ceremonial plaque was unveiled before the ribbon was cut to officiate the new extension.
