This newly re-imagined production of “Cats“ presented by CPAC Musical Theatre, brings a twist to the timeless tale of the Jellicle Cats and their mysterious annual gathering, set in post-war Melbourne in 1942.
Audiences can expect to be transported to Melbourne in 1942, days after the bombing of Darwin when the imposed brown out saw 1 in 3 streetlamps dimmed, and planes patrolled the skies. Amidst this the whimsical world of the Jellicle Cats, they sing, dance, and compete for a chance at a new life and journey to the Heavyside layer.
