Fatality after E-bike crash

Police are investigating the circumstances of a fatal E-bike crash in San Remo on Sunday, 5 November that resulted in the death of man from Officer.

It is understood by that a 40-year-old Officer man left a residence on Laurett Avenue, San Remo, to ride the E-bike to a nearby petrol station on Phillip Island Road at about 10.30pm.

The man returned home a short time later and informed family he had crashed the bike.

The man soon became unresponsive and was treated by paramedics and taken to hospital where he later died.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are yet to be determined and investigations remain ongoing.

Police urge anyone who witnessed the incident, has dashcam/CCTV footage or any other information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or log onto crimestoppers.com.au.
