Pakenham day care finalist in national awards

A Pakenham family day care service is a finalist in the 2023 Family Day Care Australia Awards.

Windermere Family Day Care has been selected as the Tasmanian and Victorian national finalist in the service category, having demonstrated an ongoing commitment to going above and beyond in support of their educators, children, families and local community.

Established in 2000, Windermere Family Day Care is one of four national finalists to be selected in the service category across Australia. Windermere Family Day Care is now in the running to be named as the 2023 National Service of the Year.

Now in its 12th year, Family Day Care Australia (FDCA) is proudly celebrating services across the country through the Excellence in Family Day Care Awards.

The awards showcase the unique benefits of family day care, which is the natural choice of early childhood education and care for many families across Australia.

The Excellence in Family Day Care Awards program is the only national awards program dedicated to recognising the work and achievements of those within the family day care sector across Australia.

Family Day Care Australia chief executive officer, Andrew Paterson, described the incredible achievements of this year’s award recipients.

“This year we received awards nominations for services from all across Australia, and Windermere Family Day Care’s selection as a national finalist is a testament to the impact Windermere Family Day Care has had on children, families, educators and their local community,” Mr Paterson said.

The Awards promote the valuable contribution family day care makes to more than 85,000 children across the country each day.

“The awards play a key role in recognising the achievements of those in family day care on a national level and provide an opportunity to promote the unique benefits of family day care to Australian families,” Mr Paterson said.

The National Service of the Year will be announced on 25 November 2023 at the FDCA Excellence in Family Day Care Awards Gala Dinner in Adelaide.
