Welcome your baby to the library

New parents and their little ones are welcome to Pakenham Library for its ‘Welcome Baby to the Library’ sessions; a relaxed and informative one-hour event, where you and your baby can experience a sample of what our library has to offer.

During this session, you’ll have the chance to learn about the library’s free services and programs, and enjoy Baby Rhyme Time, specially designed for the littlest library visitors.

It’s a great way to start cultivating a love for books and learning from an early age.

Plus, you’ll have the opportunity to meet other parents, share experiences, and build new connections within the community.

As a special keepsake, your baby will receive a welcome certificate commemorating their first library visit, and will be issued their first library card and provided a library bag to carry their treasures.

Welcome Baby to the Library sessions will be held at Pakenham Library on 8 August, 19 September, 31 October and 12 December.

All sessions will start at 2pm, so make sure to arrive a little early to secure your spot and prepare for an afternoon of fun.

Registration is required and tickets can be booked at myli.au/events or by calling Pakenham Library on 5940 6200.

If you can’t make it to a session, Pakenham Library has toddler time on Tuesdays at 11am, baby rhyme time on Wednesdays at 10:30am and 2:15pm and storytime on Thursdays at 11am.

Emerald Library visitors can enjoy baby rhyme time on Mondays at 11.15am, storytime on Thursdays at 11.15am and toddler time on Fridays at 11.15 am.
