Brunt Road level crossing removals work to begin this month

The level crossing removal of Brunt Road in Beaconsfield will have 24-hour works in the coming week.

The project will see a road bridge built over the the rail line.

Currently the Level Crossing Removal Project (LCRP) is preparing service relocation works, installing road safety barriers and mobilising equipment to site.

The 24-hour construction will occur in late May, as stated by LCRP.

The construction will affect traffic along Brunt Road overnight between Tuesday 23 May and Wednesday 24 May as the road will be closed both ways between Edinburgh Drive and Janice Street from 8pm to 5am.

Brunt Road will closed again in both directions on the weekend, from 7pm on Friday 26 May until 6am on Monday 29 May.

While buses will be replacing trains from Dandenong to Pakenham from 9.30pm Thursday 25 May to last service on Tuesday 30 May.

For any neighbourhood walks, a section of footpath north and south of the level crossing will be closed from 7pm on Friday 26 May until 6am on Monday 29 May.

You can contact LCRP by calling 1800 105 105 or emailing contact@levelcrossings.vic.gov.au
