Police investigating Cranbourne assault and theft

Police are investigating an assault and theft that occurred in Cranbourne on Sunday 30 April.

Investigators have been told that a man was riding his electric scooter along South Gippsland Highway around 4:20am when he was approached and assaulted by another man, knocking him unconscious.

The offender then fled the scene on the scooter, a blue Maserati G30M MC eScooter, last seen riding along Camms Road.

Police are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident.

Anyone with information, dashcam/CCTV footage is urged to contact Casey Crime Investigation Unit on 9705 3112.
