Tranquillity set for Cranbourne

Personalised Support Services (PSS) opens their second short accommodation property (SAP) in Cranbourne.

The short stay accommodation (STA) supports NDIS participants with short time away from their usual home.

Mark Nori who has been with PSS for over two years now experienced STA with PSS.

“It was amazing I loved every single second of it. PSS been wonderful they taught me how to be independent and respect other religion, genders and diverse communities.”

Mr Nori said the favourite part of his stay was learning how to cook and found cleaning the best part of his experience.

“I highly recommend short stay with PSS. You’ll work on your independence they’re so loving caring and welcoming,” he said.

The SAP named Tranquillity is located streets away from the first accommodation named ‘Serenity’ which opened to the community in September last year.

Managing director, Ibrahim Hassan said, “In Serenity we have had over 20 participants utilising the property for their short term and medium term stays. I am proud to say that every single individual has had an overall positive stay and we currently have re-bookings.

“It’s easy to say this is a biased statement but the results speak for themselves, we are proud of our 5-star service in our SAP.”

Tranquillity features a room dedicated to music for those who are a fan, as one of the first in the industry.

“We will have musicians to run classes and or therapy sessions out of there for participants interested in music.

“This is a reminder to us that the vision to be both an employer and provider of choice is still in the works but also not too far away. For PSS, we not only set the bar high but like to go higher,” Mr Hassan said.

Wellness of participants was the main focus for the design of the property, hence the name ‘Tranquillity.’

“Attention to details was a must in the planning stages, like the colours of specific furniture in the rooms and making sure electrical appliances aren’t too noisy or cause disturbances,” Mr Hassan said.

With Serenity and Tranquillity ready for the community, there are plans to acquire more accommodations in future.

“With the support of the team and the trust of the participants and the wider community we aim to open the doors to another 3 properties by the end of this year.”
