Tell us a fun fact about yourself!

I love to do animal sounds – especially the kookaburra!

What are you most passionate about?

Prevention of complex social problems – particularly family violence and the impact it has on children.

What do you love about people?

That we are all unique and have interesting stories to tell.

What would your last meal be?

Morton Bay bugs with garlic sauce.

What was your most memorable moment?

The mutual marriage proposal treading water under a waterfall in the Daintree Rainforest.

What was your favourite subject in school?

Chemistry – the discovery of what happens when…

What event past or present would you like to witness?

My parents’ wedding ceremony.

Which six dinner guests, dead or alive, would you invite to dinner?

P!nk – to get the party started; my wife; Albert Einstein; Nelson Mandela; Corrie Ten Boon; Jesus. Not too sure how well they will all get along!

What are you currently listening to/watching or reading?

Fix the System, not the Women – Laura Bates.

How would you describe your fashion sense?

Comfortable. I just cant see the value in wearing high heals – so limiting!

Have you had a pet that has made an impact on your life?

Yes, my old boy Soda (Jack Russell). He was with me through some of my darkest days and brightest moments. He died just short of his 21st birthday.

If you had to compete on MasterChef, what dish would you cook?

Chicken schnitzel.

Where is your dream holiday destination?

Sailing on the Whitsundays.

What were you like as a kid?

A chatterbox who loved to give big hugs.

What is your favourite colour and why?

Orange. I love its brightness and energy, like the sun and vibrant flowers. I feel it is healing and invigorating.

What was your first job?

Selling second-hand school books.

What are the three most used apps on your phone?

News, Mail, and Candy Crush.
