Liberal candidate announces grants for local events

Liberal candidate for Pakenham David Farrelly has pledged grants to four local events within the next four years if he and the Liberal Party are elected in the state election.

The grants would assist the growth of the events and support volunteers hosting the free community events.

“I have been a volunteer at all of these events for many years and I know firsthand the positive impact that a well-run free event can have on our community,” Mr Farrelly said.

“These grants will help the volunteer organisations deliver the very best events that they can.”

The grants include $25,000 a year for the Pakenham Show, $15,000 a year for an Australia Day event hosted by Lakeside Residents Group, $5000 a year for Pakenham Carols by Candlelight and $5000 a year for Cardinia Gurjarati Association events.
