It was a busy night on Thursday 6 October for Cardinia Highway Patrol, attending two serious car accidents.
At about 4.40pm, a four vehicle collision occurred on the Pakenham Bypass, Officer, prior to the Cardinia Road exit.
It is believed a Champagne coloured Nissan Navara has collided into the rear of a vehicle, pin-balling it into two other vehicles, police said.
The Navara driver stopped briefly and spoke to the other drivers but fled before exchanging details.

Then around 9pm, a Suburu impreza collided into a power pole on the Princess highway near Timbertop Boulevard, causing the pole to fall over and expose live wires, police said.
The driver was spoken to at the scene and was transported to hospital for observations.
Police are requesting any witnesses or dash-cam footage prior to the collision to assist with their investigation.
