On Thursday 1 September at approximately 3:29pm, Cardinia Highway Patrol intercepted a black 2003 Mazda Tribute Wagon on Meeking Drive, Pakenham.
Officers spoke with a 35-year-old male from Pakenham who had his children in the vehicle.
His drivers licence was suspended in May for drug driving.
The male underwent a roadside drug test which returned a positive result and his vehicle was also unregistered.
As a result, his vehicle was immediately impounded for a period of 30 days at a cost of $1390 and he will have a date with a Magistrate in the near future in relation to drug driving, driving an unregistered motor vehicle and driving whilst suspended.
