Red Cross donation drop-off comes to Pakenham

Cardinia Shire Council has joined with the Australian Red Cross to host a donation drop-off event in September.

Residents are invited to load up their car boots with quality pre-loved clothing and homewares, and use the drive-through contactless collection point where Council’s Waste Management Team and Australian Red Cross volunteers will unload the goods.

Donations will be accepted from 9am to 2pm on Saturday 10 September at IYU Reserve, 165 Henry Road, Pakenham.

Donations of clothing, accessories and homewares will be taken to the Australian Red Cross warehouse for distribution to their stores and programs to help those in need.

Donations of furniture, books, electrical items, and dirty, damaged, or unwearable items will not be accepted.

Don’t forget that Future Recycling Pakenham can accept electrical items (e-waste), batteries and scrap metal for free, any time of year.

Residents can also dispose of larger items such as furniture, electrical items and whitegoods or appliances by booking a hard waste collection for their property, at a time convenient to them throughout the year.
