Cardinia Shire Council is seeking ideas from members of the community for three playground upgrades that will be happening in 2023.

The upgrades will transform Creekwood Reserve, The Parkway, and Parman Avenue Reserve in Pakenham.

Each year, the council’s Playground Renewal Program provides equipment and landscaping upgrades to ageing playgrounds around Cardinia Shire.

Cardinia Shire Mayor Cr Jeff Springfield said the council would incorporate the community’s ideas into the development of the concept plans.

“We want to ensure these new playgrounds include your favourite equipment,” Cr Springfield said.

“Tell us how you currently use the parks and what you would like to see included in the upgrades.

“This is your chance to share your ideas about playground design, including what equipment you’d like to see, and how you would like to use the area.”

Once feedback has been collected, council will present concept designs for the community to vote on towards the end of 2022.

Consultation will be open from Monday 1 August to Monday 29 August.
