Council adopts first asset plan

Cardinia Shire Council’s first asset plan was adopted at the council meeting held Monday 20 June.

The new asset plan aims to help the community understand the assets we use to provide services and the council’s approach to managing those assets.

The asset plan is one of the council’s corporate strategic planning documents showing how Cardinia Shire Council will use assets to deliver on the Community Vision 2040.

As part of the reforms in the Victorian Local Government Act 2020, all local government councils are required to produce and adopt an Asset Plan by 30 June 2022.

The new Asset Plan comes into effect on 1 July 2022 alongside the Budget 2022-2026.
