St Brigid’s welcomes you

St Brigid’s Primary School at Officer invites you to find out more about their great school.

Their vision is to create a modern, contemporary and innovative approach to learning that is purposeful and relevant to the lives of children and families today. They believe in partnerships in learning and fostering a nurturing atmosphere where staff, parents and children work as a team to help children develop skills to meet life’s challenges with confidence, resilience and enthusiasm.

St Brigid’s Primary School have a strong focus on ensuring success in literacy and numeracy, and deepening children’s knowledge and understanding of our ever-changing world through inquiry-based learning with a Catholic world view.

The school has expansive outdoor grounds. This includes a grassed oval, netball/basketball court, multipurpose room, amphitheatre, Japanese garden, running track and fitness stations, junior and senior adventure playgrounds, a large vegetable garden and chicken coop which supports their science and sustainability curriculum. They have just started an exciting new two storey building development which will house more classrooms and specialist subject areas.

The multipurpose room and chapel have a variety of purposes including, assemblies, physical education lessons, meetings, school Masses, liturgies and Before and After School Care.

St Brigid’s offers a comprehensive specialist program of Science Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), Performing Arts, Physical Education, Science and Sustainability and Japanese. Student welfare is a high priority and they have a Student Counsellor.

St Brigid’s Primary School see themselves as a community of life-long learners and provide an environment that is challenging, stimulating and fosters creativity.
