Upcoming Monash Freeway disruptions

A range of works under the Monash Freeway Upgrade are set to cause disruptions for commuters over the coming weeks.

The Princes Freeway will be closed outbound under Cardinia Road from 10.30pm to 5.30am on Wednesday 15 June for asphalting and finishing works.

Detours will be in place via the outbound exit and then returning to the freeway using the outbound entry.

The Monash Freeway will also be closed outbound between Warrigal and Wellington roads on Tuesday 14 June and and Wednesday 15 June between 9.30pm and 5.30am as well as Thursday 16 June from 11pm to 5.30am.

Detours will be made using Warrigal Road, the Princes Highway and Wellington Road.

The outbound entry from Huntingdale Road to the Monash Freeway will be closed from Tuesday 14 June at 8pm to Tuesday 28 June at 5am for lighting and upgrade works.

The outbound entry at Forster Road will be in use.

A light pole installation and kerb works will close the intersection of O’Shea Road and Soldiers Roadin Berwick in all directions from 8pm on Thursday, 16 June to 5am on Tuesday, 21 June.

Local detours will be in place using Streeton Way, Riviera Way, Jembecca Drive and Viewgrand Drive.

Multiple lanes will be closed on sections of the Monash Freeway between Warrigal Road and EastLink in June for various works, including off-peak day time lane closures.

Major delays are expected during peak times.

The works under the The Monash Freeway Upgrade will add extra lanes to the Monash Freeway between Warrigal and Cardinia Roads to improve traffic flow.
