Community feedback sought for sport

Community consultation is now open for Cardinia Shire Council’s proposed Active Cardinia Strategy.

Council is asking the community to help shape the future of sport and recreation by learning more about resident’s motivations, barriers, and trends to engaging in sport and physical activity in the shire.

Through the draft Active Cardinia Strategy, Council will work to improve, develop and provide quality infrastructure to support community sport and physical activities.

Cardinia Shire mayor Jeff Springfield said “appropriate sport and recreation activities in Cardinia Shire should be accessible for all.”

“We are encouraging residents to provide their feedback on the proposed strategy so we can better understand how to support participation in sport and active recreation, encouraging a more physically active community into the future.” councillor Springfield said.

Community consultation will close on Monday 11 July 2022.
