Local Windermere Child and Family Services have gratefully welcomed the donation of $14,541 from the Kylie Blackwood Foundation.
Windermere chief executive Dr Lynette Buoy said the money raised by the Kylie Blackwood Foundation would help the not-for-profit meet vital needs within the local community.
“The generosity of the Kylie Blackwood Foundation and the Blackwood family, will assist us to deliver much needed services to families and children across Melbourne’s south east and beyond,” she said.
“The Blackwood family holds a special place at Windermere and their ongoing support enables us to continue to address deep community needs in areas such as family violence and those facing homelessness, as well as providing programs that strengthen our community.
“We are so grateful for the very generous support of the Kylie Blackwood Foundation. Through our programs and support from other community organisations, like the Kylie Blackwood Foundation, we have seen many lives change for the better.“
Last year, Windermere worked with over 20,000 children, families and individuals to provide support in areas ranging from family wellbeing to crisis, assault and trauma.

Founder of the Kylie Blackwood foundation and Kylie’s husband Peter Blackwood, was delighted to hand over the cheque.
“I was a wonderful organisation that helps our local community in difficult and hard times. We are proud to be a part of their journeys,“ he said.
