Motorbike speedsters caught in Upper Beaconsfield

Two motorbike riders have been caught speeding 50km/h over the limit in Upper Beaconsfield.

Cardinia Highway Patrol were conducting speed enforcement duties on Beaconsfield-Emerald Road, Beaconsfield Upper on Saturday 12 February when two motorcycles were observed south bound at a fast rate of speed.

Both motorcycles were detected over 120km/h in a 70km/h zone, police said.

The pair were intercepted and a 52-year-old Hampton Park man and 47-year-old Frankston man were spoken to about their speed.

Both bikes were impounded at a cost of $895 each and a future date with the Magistrate.
