Art show winners

Artists from across the district have found success at the 2022 Leongatha Rotary Art and Photography Show.

Now in its 45th year, the show remains one of South Gippsland’s major art shows and community events with substantial, attendances, entries and sales.

This year, the People’s Choice Award was won by Karen Rosato from Moe, for her entry Tara Bulga Beauty.

Karen was a clear winner of the award out of the many hundreds of votes were submitted.

The show was a huge success for artists and the community with many visitors attending the show and visiting different areas, restaurants, cafes, shops and attractions in the area and region.

Apart from the awards, many artists works were sold at the show.

From the lots of comments made artists and visitors alike are looking froward to the next show which will be about the same time next year.

Rotary would also like to thanks the volunteers that put in the time and effort to help the show be so successful.

Best Pastel, Jan Fregon, Lake View.

Best Mixed Media, Katharina Harper-Schmid with Fierce.

Best Contemporary, Do Noble with Riverside Drifters.

Best Ink, Pencil, Charcoal or Other Medium, Walter Magilton with Kangaroo Country.

Ron and Joy Stanley Memorial Award, Best Flora Fauna, Mandy Gunn with River Bank.

South Gippsland Shore Resident Award, Glyn Taylor with Golden Light.

Best Monochrome Photo, Shaz Green with Lifelong Blues.

Best Colour Photo Gary Beresford with Time to Fly the Coup.

Best Digitally Modified Photo, Nain-Alicia Philp with Grief Unseen.

Best 3D, Peter Cummings with Matriarch, engraved glass vase.

South Gippsland Shire Council Youth Under 13, Lily Anne Balfour with Pony in a Paddock.
