Teens arrested over Officer assault

Detectives from the Transit Crime Investigation Unit have arrested and charged two teenagers following an alleged assault in Officer on Tuesday 1 February.

It’s alleged there was a verbal dispute between passengers and a bus driver in Siding Avenue about 4pm.

The situation escalated and it is alleged the driver, a 54-year-old from Frankston South, was rendered unconscious before the males ran off.

On Friday 4 February, detectives executed warrants in Pakenham and Officer and arrested two 17-year-old boys in relation to the matter.

A 17-year-old Pakenham boy has been charged with intentionally causing injury and other assault-related charges and will appear before a children’s court.

A 17-year-old boy from Officer was charged with intentionally causing injury and other assault-related charges and has been bailed to appear at a children’s court at a later date.
