Stolen car found thanks to app

A man has been arrested in Traralgon following an incident in Pakenham on Sunday 19 September.

The offender forced the driver from the vehicle whilst parked in a carpark.

The vehicle and offender were located a few hours later, using the ‘find my phone’ mobile application, as the victim’s phone was left in their vehicle.

Knowing how to use the ‘find my phone’ application, whether it is lost or stolen, has proven to be very effective in this instance.

All Apple and Android based phones have built-in ‘find my phone’ applications and police are urging the community to know how to utilise this handy application.
