Pakenham Racing Club notch trifecta

 Pakenham Racing Club has notched a trifecta in the Community Clubs Victoria awards.

Staffer Max Mitchell was recognised for his outstanding community service and Adrian Van Kuelen for his culinary achievements.

The venue as a whole was bestowed with the title of being the best social inclusion club in Victoria.

The prestigious awards were announced at a packed-house black tie function at the Sofitel in Melbourne.

Nearly 50 clubs from across metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria were announced as finalists, with awards offered in 32 categories.

The club is renowned for being one of the biggest in Melbourne, hosting as many as 40 race meetings per year.

Warragul Sporting and Social Club also featured in the event, announced as the best family club in the state.

Community Clubs Victoria is the peak body representing over 1500 clubs around the state, recognising the achievements of local venues.
