In a spooktakular Halloween event, ghouls, ghosts, witches and devils stalked the streets of Officer’s Timbertop Boulevard.
Tuesday night’s Halloween festivities, organised by the estate’s residents’ group, united the Timbertop and surrounding community for a ghastly dress-up competition, followed by some trick or treating.
Timbertop Residents’ Group committee member Tammy Radford said a hauntingly good time was had by all.
“It was really good, we had quite a big turnout,” she said of the estimated 70 children participating.
Cardinia Shire councillors Michael Schilling and Leticia Wilmot were on hand to judge the fancy dress competition, and Ms Radford said it was no easy task.
“Everyone made such a great effort with the costumes, so it was hard for the councillors to choose the winners,” she said.
The first time the group had organised a Halloween event of this size, Ms Radford said it was so successful “we’d probably be scolded if we didn’t hold it again”.
