Baton change at Rotary

By ANEEKA SIMONIS

A FRESH lot of committee members were inducted at Pakenham Rotary’s changeover ceremony on Tuesday 28 June under the lead of president Lyn Bunce.
The fourth female to take the reins in the club’s 55 years, Ms Bunce vowed to work hard with her new team of board members to ensure as good a year enjoyed under 2015-’16 president Wal MacDonald.
“Let’s hope we have as good a year as we did with you, Wal,” Ms Bunce said following the ceremonial collar handover.
Rotarians traded in their 2015-’16 theme, “Be a gift to the world,” with their new focus, “Rotary serving humanity”.
Two hardworking Rotarians also bagged themselves the prestigious Paul Harris Fellowship award.
Pick up a copy of next week’s Pakenham Gazette for more on the awards.
