Pedestrian on highway hit by car

A TEEN who was believed to have been walking on a main road in Pakenham after dark was hospitalised after she was hit by a car.
Police said it appeared the 18-year-old Cranbourne East girl was walking along the left hand turning lane of the Princes Highway, at 11pm on Thursday 26 November, when a car travelling in an easterly direction came into contact with her.
Her injuries are unknown, however police said she was airlifted to The Alfred hospital.
Alcohol or drugs were not believed to have been a factor.
The teen was wearing dark clothes at the time of the incident.
