INVESTIGATING police have been left puzzled following the theft of half a gate in Pakenham.
Between 10pm on 1 November and 10am on 2 November, one half of a cream steel gate was taken from the entrance of a Duncan Drive home.

Stolen car set alight
A STOLEN car was set alight in Gembrook over the weekend.
At 4am on 31 October, police received reports of a stolen 2004 red Holden Commodore on fire on the Pak Track in Gembrook.
Police investigating the car theft are still trying to locate the owner of the stolen car.

Purse pilfered
A 33-YEAR-OLD woman was victim to an aggravated burglary in Iona last week.
The woman was sleeping inside the Parish Road home when she said her purse was taken.
Police believe the offender or offenders gained entry to the house between 5.45am and 8.30am on 30 October.
The purse and its stolen contents were estimated to be valued over $450.
