Lenders in thick of it

IT was a big day out for Lauren and Cory Lenders on Saturday as the Pakenham Football Netball Club husband and wife combination travelled to Robert Booth Reserve to take on Hampton Park.
With such a beautiful smile, you would think Lauren was having a relaxing day on the court against the Redbacks, right?
Well that wasn’t exactly the case, with Lauren and her Lion team-mates in the heat of battle in a thrilling contest that would eventually end in a draw.
Cory, or Nugget to his mates, was also knee-deep in the action, kicking two goals and continuing a fine month of footy to lead the Lions to a 20-point victory over the South East Football Netball League cellar-dwellers. Turn to page 49 in sport for more on a weekend that was chock full of action.
