THE loyalty and dedication of goal-shooter Toni Dart was celebrated at Toomuc Reserve on Saturday as the Pakenham Netball Club stalwart chalked up her 250th game for the club.
Involved in the sport since the age of eight, Toni has won junior and senior premierships with the Lions, winning the under-15’s title back in 2004 before playing a key role in the Lions’ A-Grade premiership win in 2013.
She has not missed a season since starting her netball career with the club as a 10-year-old back in the year 2000, and is the current day co-captain of the A-Grade team beside her long-time team-mate Meaghan Winter.
Toni has also won numerous club and best-and-fairest awards and spent much of her junior years looking up to Pakenham senior players, such as, Lee Kitchen and Pam Wouters.
But, despite all the awards she has won, it is her ongoing commitment and passion for the club that has won her most admirers.
Toni is regularly seen assisting, developing and inspiring young juniors coming through the club and, over the past seven years, has being involved in coaching and mentoring many players through the club’s juniors.
Congratulations go to Toni for her outstanding contribution to the Pakenham Lions’ Netball Club and on a wonderful career.
