I respond to the article Message Sent (Berwick News, 11 June) revealing a lost court case by City of Casey councillor Sameh Aziz against a Casey constituent Mr Nigel Bryan over a so-called threatened email, if it was ever so fabricated!
When I was a Casey councillor I was taken to court by Sameh Aziz, however both falsified charges of trespass and resisting arrest were dropped.
I have not been told of the wasted legal costs to take me to court to date.
How many other active Casey constituents seeking the transparent truth and facts from this council are to be taken to court in the future using Casey ratepayer funds to pay for the legal costs and to what amount has been expended to date on Casey court cases since 1995?
These costs and details are not made transparent to the Casey ratepayers.
The emails I received from Cr Aziz on 1 September 2009 onwards are far more libellous and damaging to my reputation.
Is this the Casey councillor that ratepayers of Springfield Ward want to represent them in local council?
Paul Richardson,
Endeavour Hills.
