THE aroma of coffee and sweet treats filled the room at a recently opened social hub in Pakenham.
Toomah Community Centre put on its first Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea celebration, which drew a large crowd, mostly mums and bubs, who got their caffeine fix while contributing charity funds for the Cancer Council.
The charity event was one of several hosted across Cardinia Shire on Thursday 28 May to help beat last year’s record $11.9 million fund-raising effort to help fund research, preventions and support services for cancer patients.
