Woman charged over stolen car

By ANEEKA SIMONIS

A WOMAN found hiding in a bush has been charged in relation to a car stolen from Dandenong-based dealership weeks ago.
About 6.40am on Sunday 17 May, the 2014 black Holden sedan which was bearing false number plates was parked in a near-deserted estate.
Police searched the vehicle parked at Solid Drive in Pakenham and found several pieces of expensive jewellery among other goods believed to be stolen.
Senior Constable Milligan said a 42-year-old Wantirna woman found hiding in a nearby bush an hour after police arrived on scene was arrested and charged with theft of a motor car.
Sen Const Milligan said more charges might be pending.
“Other items of interest were found inside the car,” he said.
Police said the car was stolen from a Holden dealership in Dandenong in April.
