My my my… Dahlia

By GEORGIA WESTGARTH

FORMER president of the Pakenham and District Agriculture and Horticulture Show George Wall won the Dahlia competition over the weekend.
In his first attempt in this section, he won the Champion Dahlia and also won rosette for his collection of pumpkins.
George got the dahlia bulbs off a friend and has been growing the bunch for a year.
“It felt pretty good to win, I grow them for fun and they turned out so good I put them in the competition,” George said.
George also won best collection of vegetables along with entering in the poultry section which he has done for many years.
