Up-close with creepy ones

REPLTILES Encounters will be a major feature again at this year’s Parklea Pakenham and District Agricultural and Horticultural Show, thanks to Pakenham Central Marketplace which is delighted to sponsor them for the second consecutive year.
Centre manager Pakenham Central Marketplace, Belinda Donnelly, says, “The show has such a long and proud history of celebration among the community and offers families the chance to get together and enjoy the achievements of the region and have some fun.”
“I hope all the families will enjoy getting up-close at the reptile exhibition, I really enjoyed meeting those two characters – from a distance….”
“We look forward to fine whether, and welcoming the iconic event to its new location as new neighbour to Pakenham Central Marketplace in John Street.“
Show society president Geoff Young says, “he just can’t wait to see the host of animals for people to touch and hold on the day – from
jungle python, angle headed dragons, green tree frogs, Stimson’s python, spiny leaf stick insects, turtles, parrot and even a fluffy marsupial (Sugar Glider or baby Ruffous Bettong).“
It’s all happening on Saturday 21 March from 9am to 4.30pm at the PB Ronald Reserve, next to Pakenham Hall, at the junction of Henry and John streets.
