Tough Stance on car break-ins

VICTORIA Police launched a new operation in Casey this week specifically targeting thefts from cars.
Operation Stance began on Sunday and will also focus on stopping the theft of cars, which is understood to have increased significantly in the Casey Police Service Area (PSA) in the past few months.
Intelligence suggests these offences are occurring within residential streets.
It’s also believed a large number of these offences are being committed by groups of youths between 7pm and 5am.
As part of the operation police will carry out mobile patrols in theft hotspots and will carry out searches of cars and people.
Anyone with any information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential crime report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
