THEY describe themselves as the standard bearers for peace around the world.
And now members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community will have a peaceful presence at the Parklea Pakenham and District Agricultural and Horticultural Show next month.
The community will hold an information stall on 21 March at PB Ronald Reserve, providing free books, offering free henna painting and selling bangles.
Community secretary Rehmat S. Mohammed said he was looking forward to making new connections within the Cardinia Shire.
“We are the standard bearers for peace,“ he said.
“We are at the forefront of the Mulsim community. We are unique in that we have a global leader.
“We condemn terrorism.“
The community has an emerging presence in the shire.
“We have several members in the Cardinia area,“ he said.
“My four children attend Minaret College.“
