Car crash at home

By BEN CAMERON AND GEORGIA WESTGARTH

A PAKENHAM woman in her thirties is being treated for a medical condition after crashing her car into her own home.
The woman was taken to Casey Hospital following the incident about 8am in Ashwood Grove, Lakeside.
Pakenham Police Sergeant Peter Henderson could not confirm how the accident happened.
“It was a low-speed impact,” he said.
SES member Steve Monro said the bottom window of the unit had been broken.
The front of the house has been covered with black plastic and sealed off.
“I’ve been to a few of these types of accidents and this is pretty minor,” he said.
Extensive damage was caused to the front of the car, which was still parked in the unit’s driveway.
An ambulance spokesperson said the woman was currently being treated for a medical condition.
“There is significant damage to the house,” he said.
