It’s A Current Affair

SOME of the community’s oldest learners will have extra opportunities with the introduction of a Current Affairs class in Cranbourne.
The Casey University of the Third Age (U3A) is starting an ‘A Current Affairs’ class in the Selandra Rise area with hopes that the new activity will be a hit.
The class will first operate each Friday from 11am until noon at the Selandra Rise Community Place, corner of Heather Grove and Forest Drive.
Member and co-ordinator Peter Fleming said they hoped to move to the Selandra Rise Retirement Village when their community centre opened later in February.
“Retired folk who are interested in the affairs of our world have a new place to explore with like-minded friends,” Mr Fleming said.
“The class is open to active retirees or semi-retired persons who would like to share their ideas and concerns about the state of our world – local, regional or international.”
For further information, contact Mr Fleming on 9769 8245.
